This is a project I worked on for Fix8 Group. My role was to create models and UV maps of the screen surfaces for D3 and consult on the content creation process and location and lens specifications for the projectors. As well as lining up, blending projectors and programming D3 on-site.
We used 24 Panasonic projectors for this project, projecting onto 18 different surfaces. One of the biggest challenges we faced was to position the projectors so none of them created shadows for any of the surfaces while retaining high resolution. The room only had 7m of trim height to play with.
Playback was a mixture of timecode sequences and manual ques.
